November AI+ Design Thinking Workshop, Austin Happy Hour, and more
Come play, experiment, and future-proof your design job
Hi folks!
We’ve been continuing to run our AI + Design Thinking workshops, including for Fortune 100 companies that are developing some of these technologies. Participants are loving the chance to play and experiment with some of these tools.
One of our big takeaways is that many people simply don’t have time in their day-to-day workflow to explore this new technology, and this workshop provides just that—a valuable space for experimentation, discussion, and reflection on how the world and our jobs are changing with generative AI.
We’re excited to announce we've launched another public workshop for mid-November. Grab tickets here or find more information below. We’ve also got a few discounted spots for our Design Better Premium members (scroll to bottom).
Austin Happy Hour
Eli and Aarron will be in-person in Austin Oct 28-30 at UserTesting’s The Human Insight Summit (THiS). We’ll be recording a Design Better episode live on stage! And learn about UX, user research and more from a stellar line up of speakers. Use code DesignBetter50 to get 50% off your ticket.
We’re also considering hosting a happy hour for Design Better listeners and the design community on either October 28th or 29th. If you’re interested in attending, or potentially co-hosting the event, fill out the short form below:

Workshop: AI + Design Thinking (Human-Centered Design)
[The workshop] was very helpful. The prompting frameworks blew my mind! I better understand how to use AI throughout the user-centered design process. I've already integrated some of what I learned into my workflow.
—Brian Carr, fmr. Staff Interaction Designer at Google
Generative AI (Gen AI) is revolutionizing the way we work. This interactive workshop will help you get hands-on with Gen AI tools and explore where and when to leverage AI to support your design work. Experiment with new ways of working and build confidence in the tools of tomorrow.
• Learn key mindsets and strategies to leverage generative AI as a thought partner.
• Experiment with real-world applications. Build your confidence and see the possibilities firsthand. Develop your own point of view about where generative AI shines and where it fails.
• Network with fellow designers. Engage in rich discussion, reflect, and share best practices.
Come play, experiment, and future-proof your design job.
Note: This workshop focuses primarily on the use of public chat-based generative AI tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Dall-E.
